Each style has its own decor
Interior decoration is above all a matter of personal taste. For your interior to please you and make you feel comfortable and confident, it must reflect who you are and inspire you. When choosing the decor for your living room, think first about your desires and aspirations. The ideas will then come naturally! You can also draw inspiration from styles that you like. There are dozens from which you can easily find inspiration to adapt to your interior and preferences. For decorating advice according to trends, find all our ideas on the Ambiances page!
Among the major current decorating trends, we can find:
- Scandinavian decor. With its refined and cozy style, Scandinavian decor is unanimously popular! It's easy to create and adapts to all interiors. Choose furniture with simple lines and focus on neutral tones for decoration: light wood, white, beige, anthracite grey... Throws, cushions and fleece blankets are welcome in your living room!
- The 'solid wood' decor : For this trend, we focus on solid wood furniture throughout the living room. To lighten up the furniture, add indoor plants, mirrors and rugs. A warm and cozy effect guaranteed! Discover our tips for a warm interior.
- The 'travel journal' decor. Do you love traveling around the world? Incorporate your holiday memories into your living room decoration. A world map to check off all the places visited, carved wooden decorative objects, photos of your most beautiful landscapes in pretty frames or even driftwood, everything becomes decor! With the 'travel journal' decor, you'll feel like you're on holiday all year round!
Eco-friendly interior decoration
At Nateo Concept, our interior decoration is trendy and above all eco-responsible! In addition to being healthy for the environment and your health, eco-friendly decor has also been particularly popular in recent years. Natural materials are making their big comeback in our interiors and bring a natural and zen spirit to our homes. Thanks to ethical design processes, you can enjoy interior decoration that respects the planet and your family. Eco-responsible decor is a real strength of your interior design!
To make your interior a place where it's good to live and rest, you can opt for different types of decorations:
- Natural material household linen: cushions, throws, blankets and covers are made from organic cotton, hemp or bamboo. Materials that are both responsible and comfortable!
- Natural fibers throughout the house: rugs, curtains and interior fabrics are made from natural fibers. They bring flexibility and lightness to your living room decoration.
- Eco-friendly wooden decorative elements: sourced from sustainable and responsible forests, ecological wood is an excellent material to incorporate into your decor. Add wooden decor in small touches to avoid overcrowding the room, for example with a wooden photo frame, driftwood decor, or a solid wood pendant light.
Decorating tips for small spaces
Interior decoration allows you to improve your living space, but also to visually enlarge a sometimes small room. By playing with decorative elements and the layout of your interior, you can easily give an impression of space and openness to your living areas.
Here are some decorating tips for small living rooms:
- Add indoor plants. Potted plants will indeed give rhythm and lightness to your room. They capture light and bring a natural feel and openness to the outdoors.
- Hanging mirrors. To visually enlarge a small room, nothing beats mirrors on all walls! Play with shapes (round, square, diamond or even triangle!) and colors to bring light and depth impression. The reflection of your room in the mirrors will truly expand the space. With mirrors, don't hesitate to go for abundance!
- Install lighting fixtures. A room that's too dark will give a feeling of confinement. To overcome this problem and open up the space, nothing beats setting up lighting fixtures throughout the room! Table lamp, floor lamp, night light or string lights, all lights are welcome for a cozy and warm atmosphere.
Color in our interiors
Colorful decoration should be handled with care. Avoid 'full color' at the risk of overcrowding the room. However, in small touches, colorful decoration allows you to highlight your white, grey or beige furniture and enhance your interior. A few elements of a strong color (red, mustard yellow, orange, blue...) will energize your interior to create a feeling of peace and well-being.
For this, you can for example install a Berber rug to highlight your wooden coffee table, place a wooden photo frame on the living room dresser, add pastel-colored cushions on your anthracite sofa, or place a large designer floor lamp in your living room.
