Poetic embroideries

The trend of hanging embroidery hoops on the wall continues to charm and is a perfect opportunity to create a lovely personalised decoration. You can very easily find embroidery kits online that are more or less complex. Once you've got the hang of it, you can also opt for creating your own design and why not embroider your child's name. This activity is perfect when you want to enjoy a hands-on activity without too much mess and that doesn't require too much expense.

A second life for a vintage piece of furniture

To save money in a child's room, you can decide to give a second life to a vintage piece of furniture. We will therefore opt for a wooden piece of furniture in the desired shape, which we will start by sanding to remove the old paint or varnish. Once the wood is bare, we can give it the desired finish. It's preferable to choose a solvent-free paint to limit the presence of volatile organic compounds (this is also true when choosing new furniture). A Homemade Chalkboard

Does your child like to draw? Create a chalkboard for drawing with chalk on the walls of their room! There are specific paints available that allow you to create a real chalkboard directly on the wall. Very simple to make, this customisation is also fun! It allows you to have a board in the room without taking up any space at all.

A decorative garland

To add colour and originality to the room, you can also opt for creating a personalised garland. There are many ideas online that you can adapt, such as using pom-poms, fabric shapes, paper, photos, etc. The possibilities are numerous to create a pretty garland on the desired theme and in the colours of your child's room. You can then hang it on the wall above the headboard, for example, or above a chest of drawers or desk to showcase it.
