How to set up a master suite?
It's a bit of a dream for all parents: a beautiful master suite to retreat to once the children are asleep. Comfortable and intimate, this type of space is ideal for couples who want a space of their own. It is now entirely possible to create a master suite in a house or flat, with little to no renovation work. If you dream of this type of space, here are some tips for setting it up.
What is a master suite?
What we call a master suite is a parental bedroom with a large dressing room and a private bathroom. Indeed, the concept of suite refers to the possibility of accessing the bathroom and clothes storage directly from the bedroom. This concept is directly inspired by hotels that offer this type of space and thus allow guests to enjoy their evening without having to leave the room.
In a family house or flat, it is therefore not uncommon today to discover a master suite separate from the children's sleeping area. The latter each have their own bedroom and a bathroom that they share.
Why create a master suite?
The master suite is a way to regain comfort, but also privacy for parents. Indeed, in a family house or flat, all rooms are quickly invaded by children and it can be difficult to find time alone as a couple and in one's own space. The master bedroom therefore represents this little cocoon reserved for the parental couple. While children certainly have access to it, once they are in bed, parents can retreat there to enjoy a moment of calm and intimacy.
Moreover, setting up a master suite is often a way to add a bathroom in a living space. Thus, it becomes much easier for everyone to take a shower and/or get ready in the morning without having to wait for their turn. It is therefore a space that can really facilitate daily life.
How to organise a master bedroom?
The organisation of a master suite requires various arrangements to obtain an optimal space adapted to your needs. Everything will start with renovation work and then you will be able to furnish and organise the space according to your preference.
The renovation work
If your house or flat doesn't already have a space that resembles a master suite, these are renovations that will need to be carried out. This can be a simple addition of an opening to directly connect the bedroom and bathroom, or the entire creation of a bathroom or dressing room. Essential, this first step will allow you to design the basic space for your master suite. The bed

The decoration
Finally comes the part dedicated to decoration that will make your master suite a warm and pleasant space.
